Update 1.3: Procedural missions!
I've updated my game Caverns and Dryads!
You can read about what was fixed and added in the game on Steam or itchio.
But the most important in this update is that I've built the engine for missions that are random but balanced by logic.
From now on, I will be able to add missions that you can accept or not, quit in any moment, and do them while you travel here or there all around the game world. You will be rewarded with gold.
So what's next? Because of player demand, I am going to add a bunch of game background chapters, mainly conversations and interaction between Tamzyn and Sioul. They will happen at the wilderness, when you camp sometimes, in the bar and in the inn.
For that I am creating a group of generic illustrations of both characters, related to a mood and situation. The programming will display them according to the text.
I can't wait to finish this update and show you some screens!
It's really not an ordinary game; it has its own atmosphere. What I liked most and what sets it apart from other games is the story. The introduction was incredible!!! Congratulations, and please don't forget to delve deeper into the story. If this game were just a visual novel, I wouldn't even care about the combat—although it's also good. Have you ever considered writing a book with this theme? I would buy it! You write very well!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your words! This is very encouraging! :) in the game, I already added a quest in which the story is developed a bit more, from the point of view of Tamzyn. I would like to add, as I said, more interaction chapters. As the story develops, players will be able to see what their circumstances are and how their story and the world develops. I think you will love it... And I also plan to write a novel! Some other players suggested that too, so I'm happy to see it may be welcome!
