What's going to be new
These days I’m integrating the main storyline of Caverns and Dryads into the game.
I’m also adding features needed to support new events that happen in the story. It will be a major release.
Here are some of the changes I'm doing:
- Three boss monsters. You will need to fight two of them, and the third if you want to get a good weapon and armor (both magical).
- New narrative capabilities. This is internal, but it will allow me to do more in the stories, like teleportation (yes, there might be spells for this in the future)
- Houses and storage rooms for your items, to keep your money and belongings, and more.
- Houses will have rooms, for storage, bedroom, laboratory... each room can allow to perform certain actions. You will be able to build your house as needed.
- Special Locations, that can be visited at will, located in the places of the map. Those will remain there for you to visit them anytime. Depending on what happens in the story, they will be available or link to a different situation. This will add more depth.
- Magical weapons and armor: they can protect against some kind of damage (armor) or deliver some kind of extra damage (weapon).
- Keys: now the places that are closed will start to open. You will be given keys to some locked places to accomplish the quests.
And narrative elements like:
- Accessing the Palace of the Dryads for the first time
- New characters appearing in the story such as Aubeline the dryad and Tamzyn’s mother.
Here's a first look of Aubeline, a character that has strong weight in the story. She is a dryad too, much less calm than Tamzyn, a bit chaotic, with a sharp tongue and friend of Tamzyn but too protective sometimes. She is also famous between humans for her massive pranks and bittersweet humor.
Dryad of the dawn. She prefers to appear at dawn and dusk.
As the Purple King, she may appear often in the story.
