Photo poems of 2025
This is a selection of images and photo poems made in this year. I do few, and keep most of it for myself. But I picked some that I specially like to share them with you.
The first two phrases are not mine as you can see, not the last one. They are from Odilon Redon and Jackson Pollock.
I love Odilon Redon, both his views and his art. On Pollock, I admire how he felt art.
The rest are my phrases. As everything I write, they are written by inspiration. I didn't use any generative tool. Generative tools do horrible bland writing. They can inspire you or help you enter into the inspired state, maybe.
For the images, I invoked my own trained Tamzyn, on a generative engine. She comes from my photos and drawings, as you know.
If I couldn't train and create my own view, I would never have used generative tools. Surprisingly, most people seem interested in the contrary: making endless versions of the existing stuff.
So that is the technique part.
The creative part is using all that with guidance, tweak, draft, and patience, to render some frozen moment with feeling and depth, that drags you into the image. Some call it soul, but she already has it.
Just look at the pics, read the words, and dream. I will only interrupt to share my view, that here is just that, as Redon says:
Tamzyn is not someone here. She's an archetype. And archetypes are eternal. They connect us with what is worth.
A dryad is the image of the free feminine energy. Nature and the power of life. Also reminds us that we are wild. That nature can't be kept in a cage.
Why talk? Nature welcomes.
Suspended time. Silence.
Those instants that last in your memory.
We are working with space and time here. Don't talk, don't break the spell.
