Preview of my game combat interface changes

I'm working on the combat interface of Caverns and Dryads so it becomes clearer what is happening and gives you visual information in a better way.

All these changes are not yet in the release version. They are from the beta I am developing. I will add more features. For now they are aesthetic changes but they are very useful. I will also add some extra defense and attack features. Stay tuned! I will add them to the public version soon.

WHAT I'M DEVELOPING NOW

I have set the "attack" button to show the current main weapon instead of the generic button. The generic button was quite weird.

This allows  you to know which weapon are you using currently.

Even more, if you swap your weapons, the new weapon will be shown. This way you don't have to open the inventory to know which one are you holding.

And if it breaks, you will see the hand icon there, so you will know.

The weapons now use the blue gray background and are more visible in the inventory.

In the "found weapon" dialog, they also show these new icons.

And when you click the "Arms" button to check the weapon and armor stats, they no longer show a generic image. Now they show the current armor and weapon icons.

And there are some other improvements. For example, when you defend, you get an extra defense amount, but also "charge" your next attack. This was said in text but no one read the monitor.
So I have added an orange blink in the attack button so it's more obvious.
I may have to record a video, because of course you don't see it blinking here.

Using the same blinking effect, when your mana is low, the blue potion will blink in blue.

And when your life is low, the red potion will blink in red.

These blinks are to warn you of those situations. This way you are more conscious of your player's state.

Nothing spectacular, but these are changes that improve the game.

I will also update the monitor of text in the middle of the combat screen so the text becomes more useful. Few people read it because it doesn't bring too much information, or it brings so much that some of it doesn't fit and is deleted.

Stay tuned so you don't miss the next update of Caverns and Dryads!
