Book Two of Caverns and Dryads is ready, guides and sale on DLCs

My dear adventurers, I have much to tell you about Caverns and Dryads on Steam, my dark fantasy game. I have written the entire story of Book 2, I have made some Steam guides about combat, and I have also set a very large discount on the DLCs.

THE STORY OF BOOK II: DECIDE WITHOUT FEAR

I have been writing a lot this summer. Also editing what I wrote, because even though the text is inspirational, it needs shaping and error correction. 

Both writing and editing are manual processes, and they take time. Despite that, I feel very inspired, so I have written no less than 76,000 words in these months.

In another post I will share notes about my editing process and why it works that way. I think it may be interesting for you.

I don’t want to give spoilers, but I can tell you that in this book Tamzyn and Sioul will fight terrible monsters, live together in their home, and we will see the appearance of the ultimate antagonist. This antagonist will define the next two books. Some of you may already guess who I’m referring to...

INTEGRATING THE STORY INTO THE GAME AND MORE

And regarding the game: I must integrate the story into the game. To integrate it, I must add new features. One of them is houses. There are more. I’m making a list and thinking how I will do it. Another is multiple combats (several enemies at once or in a consecutive series). And as I said, even more.

So now comes a period of programming and updating the game while I add more things.

I will also add features and content that are not essential for the story but enrich it, such as new obstacles and quests.

THE NOVEL

Book 2 is now very ready to be published as a novel. But my idea is to publish Book 1 and 2 together, in a single digital/physical book.

It doesn’t make much sense to publish Book 1 alone. I am not famous, and what I want is to tell a story to those who enjoy it. So it’s better to join Book 1 and 2, because together they form a solid narrative, and separately, they don’t.

For that, I still have to add a lot to Book 1, edit it, correct it, and rewrite parts that are not good enough. 

When I have something decent, I would like the players themselves to be able to read my book. I think it would be wonderful to have a core group of people who care about the story as beta readers.

I will keep you informed when I reach that point, in case you are interested.

The first version will be the novel in Spanish, and then in English, since the latter requires revising it to maintain meaning and connotations. And also doing it with native readers.

I am very grateful, especially to my players from the USA, for the good reviews and the attentive comments you always leave. 

Of course I appreciate all my players, wherever they come from. A person is who they are and can be born anywhere. 

But I can’t help being moved by how extraordinarily generous and kind they are. And how strongly they support passionate projects. How they always give a chance to those who believe in what they do. That's the dream, not that everything will be perfect or will work or be easy. The dream is that you are told "I believe in you, I bet for you". That's awesome.

I think I must say that throughout my life I have met fantastic people in the United States of America. You always have that beautiful comment, that word of encouragement.

I hope everything improves for everyone, in every country. Now I cut my own benefit in this humble area, to give back a part of everything you have done for me throughout my life. I owe you much more.
